An algorithmic draft engine predicting League of Legends match outcomes and exposing enemy win conditions.
by Chris Chen Oct 2026 to nowLastPick.gg is a proof-of-concept algorithmic draft engine for League of Legends. Designed specifically for Gold-Diamond elos, it analyzes 10-champion team compositions to predict match outcomes, expose enemy win conditions, and help players make optimal, data-backed decisions during the draft phase.
Drafting in League of Legends is half the battle, but figuring out the optimal pick on the fly can be overwhelming. LastPick.gg was born out of a simple problem: imagine you are last-pick mid—how do you instantly know which champion is best for your team's synergy while actively countering the enemy composition?
LastPick operates as a data-driven predictive engine. By leveraging established datasets (like Oracle Elixir) and filtering for Gold through Diamond brackets to ensure data integrity (avoiding the volatility of Iron/Bronze), the algorithm analyzes the 10 champions locked in during a draft.
Instead of just spitting out basic win rates, the engine calculates:
We are currently building the initial proof of concept. The immediate goal is to successfully parse draft data, map out the prediction architecture, and prove that the algorithm can accurately identify win conditions before scaling it up.
