During the COVID pandemic, I helped build the Dank Exclusive Discord bot to enhance server engagement and management. The main goal was to encourage activity by implementing a leveling system that rewarded users for participation, helping to keep the community lively during a difficult time. The bot automated event creation and hosting, making it easier for moderators to run giveaways, contests, and special server happenings without manual effort. One key feature was automating perks for server boosters—those who support the server financially—by granting exclusive rewards and benefits automatically, which helped maintain ongoing server funding and kept boosters appreciated. Additionally, Dank Exclusive handled moderation tasks, including automoderation tools that filtered spam and enforced rules, helping maintain a positive and safe environment for all members. This project deepened my understanding of bot development, server management, and how to balance automation with community interaction. It was rewarding to see how automation reduced the moderators’ workload and increased member participation. Overall, Dank Exclusive was a meaningful and practical bot that greatly improved the server experience during the pandemic.
